Bromma Gymnasium has been expanded in recent years and is now one of Stockholm's largest upper secondary schools. For a long time, Bromma Gymnasium has been an attractive school for both students and staff. Our students develop through challenging and varied working methods where entrepreneurship permeates their studies. Students leave school well prepared for their future academic and professional lives.

Bromma Gymnasium offers National Sports Education in football and basketball and has a close collaboration with IF Brommapojkarna and Alvik's basketball. Bromma Gymnasium has five university preparatory programs: the Economics Program, the Natural Science Program, the Social Science Program, the Technology Program, and this autumn we have launched the Sales and Service Program, which replaces our previous language introduction.

Your role

Job Description

The curator's mission is to collaborate with school management, other student health personnel, as well as mentors and teachers, to create the best possible conditions for students' health, development, and learning. You will work proactively and preventively according to applicable advice and guidelines in cooperation with our other curator. The work involves collaboration with students, guardians, school staff, as well as organizations and authorities outside the school.

You are empathetic, flexible, and goal-oriented. Important qualities also include good judgment, attention to detail, and strong collaboration and communication skills. Additionally, you need to be structured to plan the activities in the short and long term.

Your qualifications and experience

We are looking for someone who has:

• A degree in social work
• Several years of experience in social work with children and youth, preferably within social services or as a school curator.
• Good knowledge of children and youth and their development.
• A broad repertoire of working methods based on theories of societal and social systems, human behavior, communication, and the interaction between people.
• Good knowledge in social work, psychosocial change work, sociology, psychology, social law, as well as a broad and continuously updated knowledge of the welfare system.

It is required that you, as a school curator, take independent responsibility for your own professional work and how the psychosocial intervention should be concretized and designed. An action plan with prioritized areas of activity based on the school's needs and systematic quality work is developed in dialogue with the principal. This provides great freedom of action but also imposes high demands on good judgment and a solid understanding of the fundamental mission according to the Education Act, curricula, and other governing and guiding documents.

The school curator's work requires the ability to handle multiple perspectives, as the school social work must protect and highlight the importance of structural, organizational, and relational perspectives. The school curator is also responsible for maintaining and deepening their professional competence and monitoring the external environment.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities, and it is an advantage if you have a background in sports.
